In 1913 the Federal Reserve Act was forced through congress during the Christmas break on December 22nd. It took control of our currency away from the Congress and granted it to a group of private individuals. Since then our government has become addicted to interest based loans offered to them by the privately held bank known as the Federal Reserve. Government needs to function without the reliance upon interest based loans. Furthermore...the act of Fractional Reserve Banking needs to become illegal.
When extra money is needed by the country it should be an act of congress...NOT at the whim of a group of private bankers who not only charge tremendous interest but also submit legislation to further their control of our monetary system and our government.
