The Border Surge Amendment to the Immigration Reform Bill requires that 700 miles of fence be constructed along the US/Mexico border. This is only a fraction of the total length of our border with Mexico and is only a fraction of the length of fence required by currently existing law.
We strongly believe that a complete fence along our border with Mexico increases our national security and protects our economy. We want our existing immigration laws to be enforced, not changed, not amended. We want this to safeguard the our way of life.
Since the US Senate feels a complete fence is not required as a security measure along the US border with Mexico, a complete fence around the White House would not be required as a security measure either.
We petition to remove the White House fence.
