We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Remove the fine/penalty for not having health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

Created by B.H. on October 26, 2016

The Affordable Care Act penalizes anyone without health insurance in the US, even if they cannot afford health insurance. Health insurance premiums are on the rise making it even more difficult for citizens to afford the premiums. On top of that you are fined at the end of the year for not being covered by health insurance, even if you are young, healthy, or simply cannot afford it. This petition is aimed at ending this ridiculous and absolutely immoral penalty that is affecting so many families across the United States.
