Firearm suppressors/silencers should be removed from the NFA lists and made as readily available the the law abiding public as any other rifle or pistol sold at a local sporting goods store. They are in fact required in several foreign countries such as Finland and Sweden in order to use a personal firearm outdoors. Suppressors help to reduce exposure (either intentionally or unintentionally) to phisicaly damaging sound levels, as well as reducing exposure to atomized lead particles that are known to cause cancers, liver and kidney issues as well as birth defects.
Removing the NFA tax stamp from suppressors would allow significantly increased sales. Considering that approximately 70% of the American companies that produce firearms also produce suppressors it will increase U.S. jobs.
