Remove firearms and lethal weapons from police and federal agents except for units responding to dangerous situations.

Created by M.S. on February 09, 2013

As a result of continued unnecessary lethal force, brutality, and extremely poor training, it appears necessary to remove firearms and lethal weapons from ordinary police. While certain tactical units responding to dangerous events may need police (e.g., hostage situations, riots, etc.), ordinary police have no real need for the weapons.

If citizens were aware that police did not possess dangerous weapons, it is unlikely they would use violence to resist.

Police have no need to use force against individuals who are not using force against them.

Geared with firearms and dangerous legal devices, police have become an aggressive gang-like force rather than the civil servants meant to protect us.
