REMOVE FIREARMS FROM THE POLICE OFFICER UNIFORM. REPLACE THEM WITH PEPPER SPRAY OR TASERS.

As the number of deaths related to police "brutality" continues to rise in our country, we the people are asking that firearms be removed from the "uniform" of lower level police officers, specifically the street level police officers that have the day to day interactions with the citizens. The number of unarmed black males killed by police in the last year alone have become ridiculous. Specifically, Charles Pettit Jr. Was shot by Midwest City Police Officer James Hill on October 5, 2015, he was shot over 10 times and died on October 23, 2015. We believe the police murdered Charles and should be investigated. To combat the rise in police killings, we would like to see the police remove their firearms and use pepper spray and/or tasers instead
