Today there is a rapidly growing market for electric bicycles in Europe.
By some estimations current transit system is a disaster. Our urban freeways are choked and we spend too much time commuting to work.
Suggest creating elevated electric bicycle transit ways in urban environments to move people like our interstate system does. At 25 mph the system would be the fastest way to move in urban environment.
With vehicle weight limits of 500 lbs, such a system on a per person mile basis would cost a fraction of urban mass transit, affect current traffic less and be the fastest way to move in urban environment.
System would promote urban property values and improve value of existing infrastructure. Incorporating running/walking paths would promote tourism and other recreational uses.
