We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Remove the "Gay Blood Ban" that the FDA has in place prohibiting LGBTQ+ peoples from donating blood.

Created by R.H. on September 15, 2016

A person should be able to help out anyway they seem fit and if that is to donate blood, then so be it. In times or hardship, such as the events that happened with Pulse Night Club, many victims lay dying and in need of blood transfusions. Thousands of gay men and women willingly said they would donate blood but due to current FDA regulations were not allowed. This needs to change.
