Remove gender discrimination from registration and conscription into the Selective Service.

Created by A.P. on January 24, 2013

Equal rights and responsibility are core values for all Americans. With recent advances for women in our armed forces, it is only fair to remove any remaining restrictions concurrently. Men and women in America should have the same opportunities for service, as defined by their skills and level of expertise, not gender.

With recent changes in the Department of Defense’s policy regarding women in combat zones, the constitutionality of Rostker v. Goldberg should now be challenged. Gender discrimination asserts a violation against the Fifth Amendment and perpetuates a stigma of inequality.

We the people urge the administration to fight for equality in Selective Service Drafts Requirements, by requiring women to register for Selective Service.
