Whereas two (2) member states of the Union have legalized recreational use of marijuana
Whereas eighteen (18) member states of the Union have legalized medical use of marijuana
Whereas the 10th Amendment of the Constitution denotes that all powers not assigned to federal government by the same Constitution are reserved for the States and individuals
Whereas the enforcement of unconstitutional marijuana prohibition laws costs the American public in excess of 10 Billion dollars annually
Whereas R. Gil Kerlikowske, Director of National Drug Control Policy, has shown no remorse for having extended the failed policies of a "war on drugs"
We call upon President Obama to dismiss Gil Kerlikowske from office, to be replaced with a candidate having demostrated respect for freedom and justice
