The First Amendment specifically states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion . . ." "In God we trust" is a violation of the First Amendment and is unconstitutional. Some may argue that it honors the Founding Fathers' faith in God and how it helped them win the freedom of our country. We can honor the Founding Fathers' struggle without honoring their religion. Let's not forget that it is their faith in God that helped them, not necessarily God himself. We don't need to honor their faith, but the Founding Fathers themselves.
