We petition the President to restore the separation of church and state in our motto and Pledge by removing the references to "God" that were added in the 1950s in an attempt to counter the influence of communism and differentiate the US from communist state atheism. These references to "God" are cited by the religious right both as proof positive that ours is a "Christian nation" and in order to justify further religious influence and entanglement in the state. Removing these references will serve as the first step in educating America that ours is a godless Constitution, by deliberate design.
