In 1787 the founding fathers created the US Constitution. Then two years later the Bill of Rights, a collection of the first ten amendments, was added. The first amendment contained the following phrase, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." Putting "In God We Trust" on our currency is an obvious infringement upon our first amendment rights and it completely ignores people of faiths other than Christianity and people of no faith at all. Refusing to remove "In God We Trust" would be completely disregarding what this country was based on.
