Remove the "hedonistic" adjustments to the CPI index, and move towards a measure that more accurately reflects reality.

Created by M.W. on October 31, 2011

There are adjustments made to the Consumer Price Index which can be used to fudge the numbers, these adjustments should be backed out, and the index should be a more accurate reflection of the reality experienced by most Americans who live from paycheck to paycheck.

So called "hedonistic" adjustments should be removed, and the basis basket of goods should be fixed and openly published, with updates to each component every survey period.

Saying inflation is 1% when reality reflects 10% is essentially stripping almost 9% from every single person on Social Security, etc... each year.
