Remove the hurdles placed in front of Syrian refugees applying for asylum, and make it easier for them to enter the US

Created by J.S. on November 20, 2015

In the wake of recent bombings on Syria, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes. Congress has voted to place strict regulations on entering refugees, making it almost impossible for them to be granted asylum. The United States, being a country built on immigrants and refugees, has a duty to help these people and provide shelter and other essential needs. We implore President Obama, please, allow these people to enter the US, as they have nowhere else to turn. The US has called itself a champion of democracy and human rights in the past, so now we must take up that title again to help those that need it.
