Remove the Internet Property Provisions Chapter from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

This petition asks the White House to refuse to affirm the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) if the Intellectual Property (IP) provision is included as part of the TPP. The IP provision's excessive copyright protection will limit the intellectual freedom of anyone who lives in the United States or any of the member states of the TPP by limiting the websites they can legally access or restricting a household's or individual's internet access outright, as well as providing large fines for digitally copying materials for personal use. The IP chapter also appears to violate the First Amendment, as the Internet is rapidly becoming the new instrument of the Press, deserving the protections of the Press, and, unlike filtration, total lose of usage would constitute an unlawful abridgement of rights.
