Remove IRS barriers set up by the 43rd President to discourage experience accountants from having a preparation practice

Created by E.G. on March 09, 2012

Over 25 years in the Cost Accounting field, I have served as clerk to Auditor-in-Charge of an office. I had built a tax practice during these years to have something to retire to & continue to help people in my community. However, that has been taken away from me and hundreds like myself. Recently, the IRS announced new laws requiring all paid tax return preparers to pay for test, classes, Prep courses, PTI NUMBER & background check started in 2011. Then added many other unnecessary restrictions, like home visits, for the preparers with no history of errors. Giving New business to big accounting firms. Small business owners can not afford to comply with such rules nor pass the cost to customers. It appears to be an unfair burden on good qualified practitioners for sake of big business
