J Edgar Hoove's name should be removed from the FBI building. The apathy he showed toward black Americans, through his smear campaings & black mail tactics was essentially a declearation of war against all Americans but specifically Black Americans. Hoover believed that blacks that were against segregation were either communist or susceptible to communist influence. The tactics deployed by his agency did in fact delay government reform when it comes to racial relations.
