Remove Jackson from the 20 dollar bill and replace him with one of the countless Americans who truly deserve the honor

Created by S.J. on February 09, 2014

While accurate historical education is a problem around the world and certainly not just in America, it is readily visible today around the U.S.A. From our National Holiday celebrating Columbus, a man who committed mass genocide--and, if we are to judge from his journals, felt no remorse for it--to sports organizations who continue to use racial slurs in their team names despite protests from the concerned people-groups, Americans on the whole are not very well informed of the atrocities of their ancestors.

Andrew Jackson used his presidential power to remove approximately 50,000 Native Americans from their own lands in what has now come to be known as the Trail of Tears. While he does not deserve to represent the American people, there are countless other great Americans who could.
