Judge Jan R. Jurden let a man off after it was determined that he raped his 3 year old daughter and assaulted his son. The rationale given is that since he is of a privileged family, the du Pont family, he would not fair well in prison.
This is an outrage. If someone like Robert H. Richards IV can rape his children and then walk away unscathed, what does that mean for the future of justice in America? This man needs to be put in jail, and the judge who let him off needs to be removed from her position. Clearly she does not view her job with much pride or self-respect.
