We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Remove the limit of income subject to the Social Security withholding to extend the life of the system.

Created by S.R. on January 03, 2017

The ability of the Social Security Administration to fund obligations to younger workers is at risk. We pay into the system and should receive at least 100% of what we put into the program. Currently, we are expected to receive less than what we are due. This represents a back-door tax to the younger generation who will not reap the full benefit they are due.

It isn't fair to short-change the younger generation who paid into the program by not paying out the amount due to them. If the cap on wages subject to the withholding was removed so that all earned income were subject to it, the program wouldn't pose a moral hazard to the younger generations.
