Now that President Obama has acknowledged that marijuana is no more dangerous than alcohol, he has admitted it does not belong on the Schedule I list of most dangerous drugs. We therefore call on President Obama to announce in the State of the Union that he will de-schedule marijuana so that scientists can more easily study it, patients in need can more easily access it with a prescription, and states who so choose can regulate it.
