President Obama has stated that Marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol, 20 states have recognized marijuana has legitimate medical uses and 2 states have legalized marijuana's recreational use.
President Obama in his 2014 state of the union address stated he would take executive action to create jobs and boost the economy. Since national drug control policy and the DEA are solely overseen and determined by President Obama, we request that president Obama use his executive power to immediately remove marijuana's from the list of schedule 1 drugs and reclassify marijuana into a more fitting and accurate classification that would stop the incarceration of individuals who use, posses or grow marijuana for recreational or medical purposes.
