We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

REMOVE MARIJUANA FROM THE SCHEDULE 1 LIST BY EXECUTIVE ORDER

Created by B.H. on May 19, 2016

When opiate deaths are skyrocketing, why is a chronic pain treatment alternative still illegal? Marijuana can be substituted for opiates as a way to taper off the addictive substance but opiates are legal while marijuana, which has never killed anyone, is still illegal by being on Schedule 1 List. It is also useful for cancer patients, people with seizures, people with anxiety, and sleep disorders among other possibilities. Finally, it will provide another cash crop for struggling small family farmers. It is time to take it off the Federal Schedule 1 Lists by Executive Order before January 17, 2017.
