Remove marijuana from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act.

According to recent studies, marijuana has been researched and is known to have medical properties. This in itself should remove marijuana from the list. Schedule 1 drugs are substances, or chemicals with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule I drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence. Marijuana is medically legal in numerous states which one could conclude that marijuana has medical properties. 18 members of Congress signed onto a letter that was delivered to President Barack Obama calling for him to remove marijuana from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. Wheres the change?
