Remove marijuana as a Schedule I narcotic.

Created by J.C. on November 21, 2013

We the people demand marijuana be removed as a Schedule I narcotic and reclassified as a Schedule V narcotic, thereby decrimalizing the use, possession, or cultivation or marijuana by the citizens of the United States.

It is past time the government reformed federal laws and discontinued the practice of persecuting its citizens over marijuana. We demand our neighbors stop being incarcerated for marijuana crimes and the high cost to society as a result. With states enacting reforms of their own, the federal government is now in contradiction with these states, and the will of the people.

Marijuana does not fit the description as a Schedule I narcotic, and its use in medicine, or recreationally, is well documented through history and by the testimony of those who have benefited from it.
