The Mayor has failed the city of Baltimore at every juncture. Baltimore stands at a pivotal juncture and is in dire need of strong leadership. The mayor has consistently failed to address the systemic problems present in Baltimore including but not limited to debilitating poverty, failing school systems, an abusive police force, a lack of basic city services, a dearth of employment opportunities and burdensome property taxes. In spite of the Mayors failings, there is much to admire in the resiliency and generosity of the citizens of Baltimore. We will recover from this dark chapter of our city's history. While we recognize that removal is not an option, we want to send a strong message to the mayor that it would be in the best interests of our beloved city that she step down as mayor.
