We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Remove the Metal Detectors From the House and Senate Office Buildings

Created by A.M. on November 20, 2016

The House and Senate have had years to pass common sense legislation to stem the tide of gun violence across the country. Their inability to do so has resulted in a staggering amount of shootings. Guns are falling into the hands of the mentally ill. The incoming administration is supported by the NRA and it does not look like change is on the horizon. We simply ask that the those who have enabled our gun culture for so long put themselves at the same risk as the rest of us by removing the metal detectors at the Russell, Dirksen and Hart Senate Buildings and the Cannon, Longworth and Rayburn House Buildings. If our children need to be concerned about guns and mass shootings in their schools, our officials should share their fear. Perhaps this will force their hands to do their jobs.
