Remove Michael R. Taylor, Deputy Commissioner for Foods due to his blatant Conflict of Interest as a Monsanto attorney.

Created by J.D. on May 11, 2014

With the current and ongoing discussion regarding the labeling of GMO foods, Mr. Taylor is in a unique position to influence any FDA decisions on the issue.
Since graduating law school, Mr. Taylor has alternated positions between the FDA / Dept. Of Agriculture and Monsanto Corporation. He has been influential over the years in promulgating regulations directly effecting the Monsanto Corporations. In 2009, he returned to the FDA as a senior adviser of the Commissioner and in 2010 appointed to his current position. The 2009 appointment was preceded by 13 years in the employ of Monsanto Corporation, including the position of Vice President for Public Policy. His close ties and history with Monsanto, creates a SERIOUS Conflict of Interest in his current position. He should be removed ASAP.
