Please take the initiative to remove the Model Minority label given to Asian Americans. This divisive term has cause animosity between all groups of people for decades. It has resulted in media bias and even hate crimes against Asian Americans and immigrants across the country. The United States is founded on the principle that all men and women are created equal. This term opposes this principle. This term, once used to show how a minority group should function in American society, is now harming an entire group of people. A person should be judged based on individual characteristics. Labeling an entire group of people only lead to racist judgment and condemnation.
