Remove the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984

Created by M.M. on November 27, 2012

I believe that if you are old enough to enlist in the military, you are old enough to have an alcoholic beverage

With that being said, the government should allow the national drinking age to be 18

It is wrong to tell states that they are allowed to make their own decisions on this matter but if they don't compel with what the federal government wants they won’t receive funding for highways. This is not allowing the states to have their own say on the matter; this is forcing them to do what you want.

This was enacted almost 30 years ago and it is outdated and in need for a change

If you can charge us as an adult at age 18, then allow us to make the adult decision on weather we want to drink at 18

How many of have consumed alcohol before 21 and realized how inadequate this law was?
