Remove the need for an inauguration for any President coming in for a second term.

Created by L.R. on January 04, 2013

Are inauguration expenses really necessary for a President being sworn in for a second term? I think not! There must be a better use for those funds.

Inauguration is a formal ceremony to mark the beginning of a major political leader's term of office. He's not really beginning.

The "inaugural address" is a speech given during this ceremony which informs the people of his intentions as a leader. We already know where the President stands based on his campaigning!

Taxpayers are not on the hook for inauguration parties and such but ARE on the hook for the D.C. City services, security, and extra pay to local and federal workers for the big event. ABC News reported estimates of $114 million cost for inauguration-related expenses in 2009. Let's save the country some money!
