This petition is to raise the awareness of the US Congress that we are sick of their pandering, their petulant behavior, and their use of people's lives as their political "football" for slamming through their agendas for corporations and the elitists in this country.
The debt we already owe, and the interest it accrues is NOT something we cannot pay as a country, given the nature of the global economy. So, for Republican Congressmen and Women to talk of a shutdown and a default on our debt just to cut medicaid, medicare and gut Social Security (as they have by stealing from it and never repaying it) is treasonous!
So, any Congressman that uses these tactics and votes against paying the US bills should be removed from office, loss of pay, pension and healthcare IMMEDIATELY and FOREVER!
