Remove or Reform the Electoral College so that the average American is Choosing the President and not a Few Politicians

In the United States today the Average American Citizen is not choosing the President.
The United States Electoral College is the institution that officially elects the President of the United States every four years. The President is not elected directly by the voters. Instead, they are elected indirectly by "electors" who are elected by popular vote on a state-by-state basis.
This means that a group of highly tax-paid Politicians vote for the President and their decision decides who is the new Commander and Chief is, even if the opposite candidate got the Popular Vote.
The President should be elected through the vote of THE PEOPLE of the United States of America. This system is an infringement upon our rights as United States Citizens and in a democracy. Sign this petition for DEMOCRACY
