This petition is to reduce cost of the Treasury by removing outdated currency formats from accepted use. The Penny and Dollar Bill are costing the treasury a large sum to produce and in the case of the dollar, maintain. The average life of a dollar is short. There are countless dollar coins that are waiting to be used that would last for years reducing production and maintaince cost of the paper currency by possibly drastic margins. The penny which bears the face of our beloved 16 president is often thought of as "just a penny". That is both a disgrace and a complete lack of caring. I have seen lincoln in a toilet. Its time we move forward.
