We the People of the United States petition the removal of advertisements from news broadcasting networks for one hour a night or the creation of an independent news broadcast that is free from advertising and viewer ratings. The American people have a right to be informed about the events taking place in our nation. The broadcast will contain news relevant to current events, the data will be factual, unbiased, and investigated thoroughly before presented to the public. The news broadcast will be backed by the First Amendment. Tax payer money can be used to purchase one hour of airtime each night from the most popular news networks or to run a separate broadcast altogether. This broadcast will be run by private citizens and not influenced by federal or state governments. Thank you.
