This petition is to have Paul Broun (R-GA) removed from the House Science and Technology committee due to his views and beliefs that are a blatant insult to science."Young Earth Creationists" believe the Earth is between 6-10K years old, while scientific proof shows otherwise, and that the Earth was created in 6 days by a god. Here is a sample of some of his views:
"God's word is true. I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior."
Why should this man be in a position of power when he lacks the knowledge to hold it?
