Representative Paul Broun's has made his opinions very clear. He disagrees with the majority of the scientific community on key ideas that form the core of many disciplines.
He disagrees with embryology and evolution which are at the core of biology, with the big bang theory which is at the core of astrophysics. His opinion that the Earth is only 9000 years old denies our knowledge of geology.
The ideas that he denies are founded in empirical evidence and have been well tested by many people over time. To allow someone who denies these core ideas and at the same time steer an entire nation's decision making on science, technology, and space is an outrage.
He has every right to his beliefs but not when they effect import policies governing the very things he has proven not to understand.
