Pennies are are drain on the US economy. They cost more to make then they are worth, they waste our time, and they have no real use in modern society. We propose a bill to stop the minting of new pennies, and to legalize the melting of pennies by The United States Mint to be sold at a profit for the US government. This bill would help to boost the economy and gradually lower the total US debt.
