On September 28, 2016 the popular meme "Pepe the frog" was added to the ADL's list of hate symbols. I, as well as many others, believe it would be reasonable to remove it from said list. "Pepe the Frog " is a popular meme among the category of "edgy memes" and it is to be taken as a joke. The meme has been widely used by so called "Alt Right" members, and it has been given a bad reputation. It should no longer be considered a hate symbol, because the future generation of our country is quite fond of it. I believe that it is obvious that the frog is a joke, and it should be treated as such.
