On September 27, 2016 the socil media world was shocked that the ADL passed Pepe the frog as a hate symbol. As most online users know, Pepe is not just a "passing fad", Pepe is a symbol of the internet culture. And damaging his icon with such a tital as "hate speech" would devistate a landmark meme of the early internet culture. Think of it as if it were the Golden Gate Bridge, nobody wants to damage its impressive nature as does the internet not want the ADL to damage Pepe.
