Remove the permanent detention aspects of the 2012 NDAA.

Created by M.V. on November 13, 2013

We petition the Administration to take action to repeal or modify the aspects of the 2012 NDAA, that allow for military detention until the end of hostilities of anyone suspected of terrorist activity, or supporting terrorist activity. We believe that since the war on terror may continue for years to come, it codifies indefinite detention without trial. Furthermore, we believe that Americans suspected of terrorism should be tried in a domestic court and should not be subject to the laws of war, if detained in accordance with the AUMF and the NDAA.
