This platform is an ineffective waste of time and government resources. The most popular petitions have ranged from constructing a Death Star, to deportation orders, to asking the Government to limit its own power. In other words, these petitions have ranged from ridiculous, to borderline unconstitutional, to outright naive.
This exercise does not encourage educated voting, nor does it do anything to actually address an issue. Currently the 2nd/3rd most popular petitions deal with the Muslim Brotherhood and Edward Snowden. Do we *really* think that the federal government is unaware of these issues?
Disband this useless platform and use the resources to educate adults about basic civics. Anonymous "signatures" are a placating measure, and nothing more. This is not how you invoke change.
