PKK (Kurdistan Worker's Party, Kurdish: Partîya Karkerên Kurdistanê) is fighting ISIS/ISIL/Daesh on ground, along with the YPG fighters in Syria and the Peshmerga from the Kurdistan Autonomous region in Northern Iraq. The PKK have shown extraordinary military effectiveness in defeating ISIS and are protecting the Kurds and surrounding communities from the barbarity of the terrorist group. The PKK, along with other Kurdish fighters, are the only ground force that have demonstrated success in overcoming the ISIS militia.
The US government should be supporting the PKK, not proscribing it.
