Senator Grassley has stated that he will not "bend to pressure' in order to hold hearings for the Constitutionally represented Supreme Court nominee. “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness,' Thomas Jefferson. I took the oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic'. Senator Grassley's refusal to hold nomination hearings for a Constitutionally appointed nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court is detrimental to the judiciary of the United States of America.
