For every U.S Presidential Election, the FEC has chosen a president based on Electoral Votes. Yet in many cases, an opponent of a sitting President received majority of the raw popular (citizens vote). An Example of this Is Bush v. Gore where Gore had majority of the popular vote. We should have had a President Gore. How is it fair to the American people than when we vote for a Candidate the one the most of the people voted for, does not become POTUS. After all isn't it "We the People" and not "We the Electoral College"?
