The death toll by murder in Chicago over the past decade has doubled the number of American forces who have died in Afghanistan since the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom. As Mayor, Rahm Emanuel is responsible for citizen safety and has failed to protect his citizens by focusing on increasing the draconian gun laws of Chicago leaving its citizens little defense from murderers.
When a city has a death toll by murder greater than that of a foreign conflict a National Emergency should be declared and the use of the John Warner Defense Authorization Act initiated so the President can legally remove Rahm Emanuel from his position before more innocent life is lost.
We also petition, once he is removed, that Chicago gun laws be inacted to mirror more free states such as Texas
