Remove references to a "God" in our money, and pledge of allegiance. Keep church and state separate.

Let me get this out here first. I am not atheist, I have no problem with religious beliefs. But I do have a problem with Congressman and Senators pushing "God" and Christianity on others, and using it for political gain.

"In God We Trust" was added on our money to gain religious sentiment during the civil war, and "Under God" was added to the pledge of allegiance by president Eisenhower to gain support against the "godless communists" during the cold war.

The Treaty of Tripoli article 11 (added into and signed by John Adams) clearly states that this country was NOT founded on christian beliefs, and I believe firmly that we should honor that.

Too many times religion is used in debates over public policies and decisions for people that may or may not be religious. I think it should stop.
