There is currently a restriction in the Post 9/11 GI Bill that prevents the payment of out of state tuition. This leaves veterans to foot the bill of the rest of the payment at state schools. This can amount to thousands of dollars. Veterans often move to different areas of the country than where they joined and it is bad policy to subject them to out of state tuition payments when they have done so much to protect this country. If a program they wish to get into is in another state, they may not be able to afford to get into it because of this restriction. Veterans should not have to dial down their dreams because of out of state tuition. Last I checked, veterans defend the country. Not specific states.
