This petition would change the laws regarding student loans and bankrupcty. Currently you cannot discharge student loans. A person can run up thousands and thousands of debt on credit cards and auto and home loans yet a student trying to do the right thing by getting a higher education is left unprotected.
With student loan debt looming, a person cannot get certain jobs, cannot get home or auto loans. These things would stimulate the economy. A person with sstudent loan debt is less likely to get married or have children.
Student loan debt is one of the highest debts in the country. It is higher than credit card debt. Please help us. We are your sons, daughters, sisters, and brothers. Please sign the petition to change these out of date and harmful laws.
